The bitstream saltwater model is provided for the main stream of rivers where there is thick brackish water, the period of spring tide changes, and straits with complex current patterns. The hook is one size larger than that specified for the bitstream, and a super-tough st46 is normally fitted. By the addition of a little more weight, its performance and stability in saltwater areas has also been improved.
